主講人簡(jiǎn)介：

Benjamin List教授，1968年生于德國(guó)法蘭克福，1993年畢業(yè)于柏林自由大學(xué)，1997年在法蘭克福大學(xué)獲得博士學(xué)位，德國(guó)化學(xué)家，德國(guó)科學(xué)院院士，奧地利科學(xué)院院士，中國(guó)科學(xué)院榮譽(yù)會(huì)士，馬克斯·普朗克煤炭研究所主任，日本北海道大學(xué)教授，華中師范大學(xué)特聘教授。他因不對(duì)稱(chēng)有機(jī)小分子催化領(lǐng)域的開(kāi)創(chuàng)性貢獻(xiàn)與David W. C. MacMillan共同獲得2021年諾貝爾化學(xué)獎(jiǎng)。他是有機(jī)小分子催化領(lǐng)域的國(guó)際領(lǐng)軍人物，長(zhǎng)期致力于催化劑的設(shè)計(jì)和催化方法的開(kāi)發(fā)，已經(jīng)建立包括超強(qiáng)酸手性催化劑在內(nèi)的多個(gè)催化體系，近五年在Nature, Science等國(guó)際頂級(jí)期刊發(fā)表多項(xiàng)開(kāi)創(chuàng)性研究成果。

Brief Introduction of Professor Benjamin List

Professor Benjamin List, born in 1968 in Frankfurt, Germany, graduated from Freie Universit?t Berlin in 1993 and earned his Ph.D. from Goethe University Frankfurt in 1997. As a renowned German chemist, he is a member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, a member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and an Honorary Fellow of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He serves as the Director of Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung and holds professorial positions at Hokkaido University in Japan and Central China Normal University.

For his pioneering contributions to the field of asymmetric organocatalysis, he was jointly awarded the 2021 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with David W. C. MacMillan. As a leading figure in organocatalysis, Professor List has long been dedicated to the design of organocatalysts and the development of catalytic methodologies. He has established multiple catalytic systems, including those involving chiral strong acid catalysts. Over the past five years, he has published several seminal studies in top-tier international journals such as Nature and Science.
